J-Milton
As real estate developers, the defining strength of J. Milton & Associates' founder and principals is their solid educations, understanding and experience in the art and craft of actual building. Founder José Milton has always approached the structural and aesthetic standards of the company's communities with the training and soul of a true Architect.
His three sons and current principals collectively draw upon early, hands-on experience in the field. Regarding their achievements in higher education, Joseph Milton's degree in Civil & Structural Engineering, and Cecil and Frank Milton's degrees in Business Administration, contribute significantly to the company's professionalism; additionally, Joseph and Frank are State-certified licensed General Contractors. These reciprocal father-and-sons skills, training and shared responsibilities represent, over a span of nearly 50 successful years, the heart of a company with building in its DNA—in sharp contrast to large development firms defined by sub-contracting services from their inception. The practical experience of all four members of the Milton family means that managing the issues of materials quality, time management and workmanship standards are well under the company's control.
J. Milton & Associates is committed to upholding the principles of value engineering at the design and construction phases of its development activities. At a new project's initial design review, the principals' and senior managers' seasoned understanding of how architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical considerations impact the construction phase insure its successful completion. Guidelines for efficient and timely execution of all sub-contracted and internal operations are strictly maintained; no development firm in the country is better at on-site troubleshooting and problem solving during construction. J. Milton & Associates projects are planned and built to last, and the company enjoys a reputation throughout Florida and beyond for the enduring appearance and quality of its communities.

The near-total employment of company-owned resources is a defining characteristic of the company's modus operandi, encompassing all phases of the development process from land acquisition to design management and all phases of construction. The company fabricates and installs all millwork and architectural metals within its subsidiaries, which also includes carpet, roofing, painting, plastering, vehicular fleet, and heavy and light machinery units.

President and CEO Joseph Milton observes, "I and my two brothers were literally born into the business. Starting in our teens, we certainly knew how to pick up a shovel and do the hard work that resulted in durable and beautiful buildings our father could be proud of. Today, my brothers and I share a commitment to enhance the legacy that was instilled in us so early and with such passion."
